Proof or Business strike? He acts like he doesn't know.

1849 Seated Quarter
Well now, a high grade business strike 1849 Quarter is a rather nice coin.
The proof 1849 Quarter, on the other hand, is nearly unobtainable.
It's convenient for a dealer to not "know" the difference between the Proof and the Business Strike. (He is a coin dealer)
I sent this joker an email when he had this listed a couple days ago on a 1 day auction and told him this was Briggs 1-A, a business strike.
I explained to him this coin he has pictured is clearly the "compass point reverse" variety, and that the Proof of this year did not have this diagnostic feature.
I told him to look at the top of the first 2 verticle lines in the reverse shield, at the tiny hole there.
You can plainly see it in his picture.
So he's got to be hoping some dope will think he's getting the buy of a lifetime, by getting the Proof cheap, when it's the business strike he's really getting.
And he plays like he doesn't know the difference.
