moosesrmoosesr Posts: 1,966 ✭✭✭
Could someone give me the greysheet for a 1942 D over Horiz D Jefferson in MS 60 and 63? I see CoinWorld trends is $475 and $750.

Thanks,
Charlie

    Charlie:

Those prices are a joke beyond anything I can begin to express. Grey Sheet doesn't list prices for this variety.

A PCGS AU58 sold last week on eBay for a Buy It Now price of $999.99. The last Mint State example I'm aware of having sold was an MS63FS PCGS at a Heritage auction for something over $12,000.

    When in doubt, don't.

Wowimage I knew they were rare and valuable, but had no idea they were worth that much.

The jury is still out as to whether they're worth that much... but that is what they've been selling for.

    hey Charlie

VF-XF raw examples routinely sell for less than $60 and AU's holdered sell less than $500 depending on the compitition and venue.

I bought a VF-30 raw for $30. I sold it on Teletrade recently (in a PCGS holder) for about $50.
