Damn these 2004 Clad Proof Sets

OK....so now these are selling minimally for $75 on Ebay...I saw one sell for over $100 and several for at least $80......is this as high as it will go, or will they go higher before leveling out....what do people think is the max this set will reach before leveling or falling?

No one ever went broke taking a profit. The question is "What is your risk profile?" Are you going to the max or ready to take a nice quick profit? I would say take the profit, except I think they may go higher in the next 6 months.

Take a lesson from the great silver rush of 1979.

Those who made good money were the ones who bought and sold, bought and sold pulling out profits along the way for reinvestment and diversification. The ones who lost were those that held or even worse bought and bought and held because "It's going to go higher!"

What is going on with these new proof sets? There is nothing rare about them. The supply is high. The coins are mostly all high grade dcam proofs.

I just bought 2. One for $60 and one for $66. I feel hosed but they keep going up. I need at least 1 to keep the collection going.

Usually I get one for Christmas but this year they were sold out by Thanksgiving. I got a silver set instead.

Next year I will go ahead and buy one or two of each and not have to do this again.

Isn't the Silver mintage still way lower than the clad, even though it is still available from the mint?

I bought three at issue price and four more for about $50 each.......I am keeping one for my set, which is essential and two I will hold for another few months, but I think i need to sell the rest over the next few weeks....
