Printing digital thumbnail photos

I'm in the process of scanning jpg/gif photos (cards) to my PC. Can anyone recommend a freeware, shareware, or commercial Windows software that will print out small "thumbnails" of these photos to a printer ??? I don't want a large printout of each jpg/gif photo, but rather a bunch on a single piece of paper (say, 9 or so small thumbnails to a printer)
