    At one point I had three 1855 halfpennies and I did a thread on this subject. The thread has long since become defunct since all the original scans were deleted. Each example had something different in the date. Slanted numerals was noted on one of them. Unfortunately, all I could find was an old scan from my old computer.

  • looks alot like this one on ebay. I guess it's normal, seems i've seen that slant before.

    This one is in syraq's hands imageimage. It has a somewhat better aligned date than those above.

    And this is still mine. The date is much better aligned here.


    There are so many varieties to each date in the copper coin series that it has thus far been too big an undertaking to catalogue them all. Only the more obvious varieties are documented and sold as such.

    No. It was titled "dilemma" or something like that. The pictures from that thread are all gone now (they were scans).
