Police property web site

My son showed me an interesting coin auction web site, stealitback.com . This web site apparently auctions items from police property rooms. I've linked the coin part of the web site above (on which there is an interesting 4-07-86 ANACS [?] pre-slab certified dollar being auctioned) but there are many other types of items being auctioned. If you have a desire for a cobra knife, here you go; if you'd rather have a parking meter, they aim to please!

For what it's worth, it seems to me that most of the coins are a tad on the high side, but I do presume there is little (if any) shilling on this police web site... image

P.S.: I wish Braddick would tell us how often he confiscates Eau De Toilette from the crooks he arrests. Given this item is being shipped from the LA warehouse, it must be that LA crooks are concerned about the image they present...

I've seen this site and others like it and have always assumed it was the clever marketing concoction of some modern-day PT Barnum, as opposed to legitimate auctions of 'police property'.

The stuff for sale looks like complete crap, anyway.
