Opinion please on a Euro starter pack

I have this Irish Euro starter pack from 2002 the year when the central bank first released these packs to the public. There were about 750,000 released that first year. Should I keep the pack sealed or open it and place the coins in flips for my collection? Or does it matter?

What's the packaging made of? If it don't hurt the coins I say leave it as is.

I would leave it in the packaging. I mean that is the whole reason you bought the starter pack isn't it?

It's supposed to be a collectable item if sealed, but almost everybody hoarded them,not specifically the Irish ones,but all the euro starter packs, so I doubt that it will affect the coins' value if you open it. The coins are certainly safer in flips. You'll end up with a lot of duplicates, which is great for giveaways.

As a starter kit it may have som collectors value. If you open it you just have spending money.
