After seeing Cacheman's images this morning I wanted to see what I could come up with to reimage my copper proof.
#1: Was taken with one light and shot dead on with nothing else special going on.
#2: Was taken with one light, on a slight angle and using the light to show the reflective fields.
#3: Was taken with one light, on a slight angle and using a piece of white paper to show the reflective fields.
#4: Was taken with one light, on a slight angle and using a piece of black paper to show the reflective fields.
Which do you prefer and why?

Would a second light from the upper right show the whole coin with that rich color in the fields? Just a thought.
Super pictures, as always!!

I think DorkGirl may be right ... Have you tried with two light sources yet? That might make the entire surface look "copper"

Oh, and by the way, all four images look fantastic. Certainly better than most of those I've seen from a few major auction houses that I won't name.
