Is there a resource out there that can tell you how big the printing runs were by year and card maker?

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
He was talking about 1972 . At 10 cards per pack , that's 200 million cards (just baseball) and with the huge size of that set still works out to over 250 thousand cards of each player. In 1985 I suspect 1 million card production run refers to that many of each card printed.

Baseball cards aren't like coins whereby the US Mint publicly announces each year how many coins were minted. Sometimes with cards, printing runs are announced on limited edition sets such as "5,000 sets," etc. The printing runs for their regular cards I have never seen announced by any card company.
