Rella! A Sampler!!

Just a quick down and dirty of the obverse of the Goetz 5 Mark Bavarian Pattern....If ya'll recall, I bought a complete set (only one of six) a number of weeks ago...I just haven't had time to image them. They will now be a priority image

What a beauty!! Do you use side lighting or above lighting for your outstanding photos?

Not trying to answer for Scott but that shot looks like side lighting from the way it brings out the cameo contrast properly...overhead lighting would have brought out more of the color on this monster.

Man that is a killer shot. I'm feeling a sharp sense of loss right now...but I'm also glad they have a good home. image

There's just no way I'm going to get pictures of this quality on the copper and bronze sets, but it gives me something to measure my camera skills against.

I think I could do better if they weren't in slabs but this will have to do....image

Oh, and I still want to try the "slanted Glass" technique on these to pick up the monster toning that exists but I only use natural light when doing this technique and it's dark right now...

I didn't get the chance today to do the "slanted glass" technique before the sun was clouded over...perhaps tomorrow.

BTW, this piece sits in a PR64 PCGS slab...the hairlines must have really knocked it down as it looks 65 minimum to me.

    Nice.

Didja get the "Magenta Monster" 3M yet? Maybe the holidays slowed the shipping somewhat.

    LM,

Now THAT copper one I LIKE...I've been wondering this whole time how it stacks up against the ones in the set I have. Maybe we'll have to have a "dueling purple Goetzes" showdown at one of the east coast shows...is it just taking the west coast trip for a photo shoot or is it about be be assimilated by the Goetz-Borg?

It has gone West to Goetz Central, to live with its brethren. I hope it is liked there.
