Here is a no stars, half dime from an eBay auction
I love these coins (dimes too), the ones without stars (reminds me of the Gobrecht dollars).
The lighting makes it difficult to see if there are problems.
It looks too clean for something of this age, but I can't tell for sure.

Based on wear alone, I'd say it would be AU-something-or-other.
Here's my XF-45 for comparison....(And just cause I like showing it off.)
I'd stay away from a raw coin like that.

TommyType,
Love your piece! Nice coin!
I wouldn't bid on that one you have pictured. Photo's aren't that hard to make. That seller is ashamed of his coin.

I never get to show them off.
Apologies to the dial-upers

From the Auction
"Here's a decent example of the first type of Liberty Seated Half Dimes, with No Stars on obverse and no drapery on Ms. Liberty's elbow. These were made in 1837 in Philadelphia and then a few in the new Mint in New Orleans in 1838. This example would grade a strong AU, but unfortunately has been "whizzed", for any new collectors, this means coin was gone over with a wire wheel or brush, disturbing the surface. This would be done to pass as BU ( the whizzing creates a bright, but false luster ), or to hide bagmarks. Net effect is to lower its value by at least one full grade. Color is blast white, photo shows tan coloring, the background is white paper. My camera does strange things with color at high magnification, this is a very small coin. Shows a double-punched '8' in date, the secondary impression is so low that it overlaps the dentils, this is listed by Kevin Flynn as MDP-001 for this coin. Should be visible in the photo
Guy has 100% feedback also but I would pass on this halfdime.

Edit: guess I was just a little too slow.

I love the "no stars" half dimes. They look so clean unlike most other U.S. Coins.
