Right now on the Sci-Fi Channel (4 PM eastern) there is an episode that involves coins. Look in the paper boy's collection box for old silver quarters and buffalo nickels. The episode is titled "A Penny For Your Thoughts".

I just watched an episode of Monk on USA where the SF Mint employee stole 5 double headed cents from the mint and hid them in a gumball machine in a mob barber shop. They quoted these coins as being worth $200K each.

I know I used to get alot of great coins on my paper routes in the early 70's. Even got a 1928 C $5.00 bill in Fine that I still have! I used to buy and go thru so many rolls at the local bank that the bank manager used to let me sit behind the counters with the cashiers and go thru rolls. They sure wouldn't let anyone do that today! Maybe in some small rural towns yet.
