I am debating between 2X2 or 2.5X2.5 SaFlips. Any opinions out there?

Thanks, Richard.

  • Half Dollars and Larger... 2.5x2.5... makes em a lot easier to get out... even with smaller coins too... but Nickels, Cents, Dimes, and Half-Dimes would be alright in 2x2... they're small enough to easilly get out...

Had a Peace dollar in a cardboard 2x2 with staples for over 20 years. It was the same last year when I took it out as it was the day I put it there. I like the cardboard 2x2's but hate the staples. Got to be careful. I've seen some of a self adhesive type and have been trying to find who makes them or sells them. The Saflips are OK but personally I can't stand a coin that is not straight or moving around all the time. image

For long term storage of dollars I would use cardboard 2X2s and not mylar flips. The mylar flips can become brittle over time and cause the dollar to break thru the bottom of the mylar flip, which can scratch the coin.
