  • Yes, he is #5 and yes he was a pitcher. The photo is from when he was playing with the lancaster red roses in 1945 after he was sent back down by Connie Mack from the Philadelphia A's.

He started in 43 with lancaster pitched two no-hitters.

In 44 he joined the army.

In 45 he started with lancaster got called up to the A's in early 45 then set back down in late 45.

In 46 he was sent to portland (another A's Farm Team) released. He played with both tacoma and salem in 46.

In 47 He played for the millers Where he pitched in 83 regular season games(Record). He also won the American Assocaition's League MVP that year.

In 48 he pitched for Rochester and Columbus.

49 He pitched in the Mexican league.

51 and 52 he played in the southern minnesota league and the "mandak" league.

In 53 he played for the Duluth Dukes.

The photo I put up is actually considered his only "baseball card" it is a 7x10 photo that was insterted into A's programs.image
