on page 152 in the 2005 redbook. the 1936 quarter in ef40 is a $45 coin and yet in MS63 the coin is only a $30 . i love typos or maybe we should start grinding ms 63s back to ef40 grade. hehe.

    Yep, that is a red book typo. if you look, there are several mistakes in the Red book that are not typos. For example, the mintage for the 1909 VDB matte proof lincolns is wrong. They also have the composition for the modern gold commems wrong. It says they are the same composition as the old gold coins from the $5 Indian gold coins. The new $5 gold coins have silver in them.
