from the set i recently purchased. and my fav card from the set
I may go on an ebay hiatus and submit some cards for grading.
as of late I have been buying up British tobacco card sets from the late 20's thru 1938. Today I won a set that featured Boris Karloff.
when the set arrives i will post a few scans

Cool sets! Didn't the Beatles do a song called..."When I'm 64"?
I'm looking forward to the Karloff set...he's a favorite of mine! When I was a kid, me and my sister used to fight falling asleept to watch Shock Theater on Friday nites. My first Karloff movie that I remember was the Mummy and Frankenstein - he played the monster of course.

I think that is the same card that I posted way back when on our Non-Sports thread. Its a nice goofy shot.
Here's another that was obviously taken a little earlier or later at the same time.
Im working on that set a little too, but its slow going.
Is the Boris Karloff set you won the 1938 Ogdens set? Thats the only one I have in which Karloff appears.
The Ogden set is a great set and is one of the most colorful sets that I have. The various background colors and detail are just superb. Great pick up !!
It also has Maurice Evans who went on to play Samantha's father in Bewitched and Dr. Zaius in Planet of the Apes. There also is some guy named Olivier in the set as well.
