Let's try this again.....anyone going to FUN that is NOT going to the Registry Luncheon (PCGS)?

Is it because you don't have a set in the PCGS registry so you have no invite or is it because you don't want to go?
I am going. Never been to one and I would like to.
I'll be at FUN having fun image

Edited to add that I will leave the thread up so others can make the same offer and get to know each other but that my spot has been filled.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Bochiman, Sorry I meant no disrespect, I was just wondering if it was a good luncheon

    Fountainheadgold,

    No disrespect taken.

I honestly don't know if it is good or not....never been to one.
I guess each invitee gets to take 1 guest. Since the wife isn't going, I was trying to see if anyone is going to be at FUN and not the luncheon, but wants to go to the luncheon (they just don't have a reg set).

  • Anybody know about how many people attend ?
How do they know who you are ? Do they have a list and check out who you are at the door ?
Do they have a reserved table seating ?
I am thinking of attending this year, so would appreciate a little info from somebody who has attended in the past.

I went to the one in Baltimore and had a great time. By the way the below just came in an email from PCGS. I wish I could make it to FUN.image

If you are planning to attend the Set Registry luncheon in Ft. Lauderdale, Friday, January 14th, and have not yet emailed me your RSVP, please do so by this Friday, December 31st. mailto:BSearls@collectors.com

There will be a very special panel discussion with world renowned numismatists Q. David Bowers, Julian Leidman, David Hall, and "mystery guests," who will discuss the "Good Old Days" and what the marketplace was like in the 1950s and 1960s. We are honored and privileged to provide you with this opportunity to meet the legends in numismatics! The panel discussion will be moderated by PCGS Director of Numismatic Research, Ron Guth, and will include a question and answer period.

  • I'll be there and I am also not bringing anyone so I could take a guest as well???

I haven't been to one before, but I figured that with the list of guests, it should be a good time image
