A try at re-imaging my 1822 Hibernia penny

Well, I tried to re-image my 1822 Hibernia today but I did poorly. However, I did catch the colors in the coin. No matter what way I shot the images they still do not capture this coin

I find the darker more colorful copper a pain in the A$$ to image, so far, need to experiment more.....

PS, I think you are doing good so far, I do see some nice color there...

Thanks folks. In time I hope to dump this kodak easyshare 3.2 mp camera and upgrade to something with a little more punch.

I'm using a Sony Mavica ... less than 1.0 mp

... so I think yours looks great

Very nice coin - Use incandescent light and let the light fall directly on the coin - you should see the colors light up - then snap away
