Wow. This is an RB? Did you have to pay a premium over the usual RB price? This sucker looks darned near full red to me.

If that coin were RD, I'd bet it grade MS67. The surfaces look flawless.

Very nice, the grade looks right at 66. As far as value the last NGC 66RD sold at Heritage went for $189, I'd guess yours is worth no more than $40 IMO.

I thought it may have a chance to cross and possibly upgrade to 67 as well..........may be one of my first pcgs submissions ever...if i grow the balls to do it...and spend the money that is.

What do 67's and 66's usually go for in RD and RB? Links for similiars?

    thanks,

    tom

That one you linked from ebay is about the same as the Heritage most recent sale (over $700). In Looking at your pics again the second obv pic shows a line in the right field close to the rim and running under ST of "TRUST". If that line is noticable in hand then I'd say your chances of an upgrade are slim. The other grade limiting factor I see is the left wheat stalk seems a bit softly struck. If the camera/lighting is distorting those areas, then you have a shot at an upgrade IMHO.

Just as a side note, I'd have the hamer out in a second on that coin. The worst it will grade is what it is and it will be far more valuable in the PCGS plastic.

I like it. Looks like a very nice Lincoln. I've seen a lot of Lincolns with the red designation that didn't have as much red.

  • I love RB's like that. I wish all my RB IHC's had just that much brown.
