If anyone has the time would they let me know what the going value is for such a token?

Also what do you think? A nice example or is it common. I do not know anything about these but I liked the ship.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Wayne,

Good to "see" you again. Don't know much about the token except ... I like it! Looks similar to the 1781 North American Token listed in the Red Book and in Charlton.

  • Thanks Gene. As I said I don't know anything about these. I just liked it and have placed my max. bid on it and wondered if I was way off base or not.

    It's a Conder token.
I just can't find it in my little reference book.
Don't think it is as good as the seller states but the price looks about right.

You might PM Conder and ask him which one it is.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Hi Wayne!

It's a Conder token - catalogued by Dalton and Hamer as Warwickshire 59

There are 2 edge designs possible #59 is Current Every Where, while #59a is plain. #59 is common, while #59a is scarce.

Going on the assumption that it is #59 and the grade (no better than VF from the scans) I would probably bid no more than $15 for it.

  • Thanks for the info.

I would imagine it is the common one. He seems to know what he is selling. I have put in my max. bid and if it goes above that someone else can have it.

  • The grading looks pretty close and the guy has a good "rep" so it seems. Good Luck, I like the ship too but am out of pocket change for another week, so I'm not going to go for it myself. image
