Anybody had any dealings with ernie on e-bay?

I think I've seen something about him on the board, but can't remember if it was good or bad.

PM'ed you, but here's my encounter with ernie.

Basically the story starts with him stating that he sent me the wrong coin & I was holding it hostage until he sent me the correct coin.
For those that want to know how it ended, the coin was sent to PCGS & was BB for cleaning. In his defence (if there is any) the coin did not look cleaned (IMO, not PCGS').

  • Actually, I've met him in person at a coin show in boston. EBWCoin.com is his website. He sold me a few 1972 Type II Ikes. I never had a problem with him. Seems like a nice guy.

    mtnman,

You are relatively new here. That type of question generally goes on the US Coin Forum board. This area is for buying/selling/trading coins.

A 1000 pardons. I made a mistake. Guess that's why I seldom post on these boards
Alot of people help, but it seems like alot more are ready to jump you for making a mistake.
I will try not to let it happen again.

I pointed it out as politely as I possibly could. image

It WAS pointed out very nicely.
Mtnman, you should lighten up. You wanted info, your post wasn't in the best spot to get the most replies that could help, and Robert pointed it out nicely.
There are many people that are rude in posts and replies....Robert's was not rude.

Maybe the reason you don't post much is because you are paranoid and thin-skinned?

Good luck to you with your potential dealing

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Roberts comments were very polite, but maybe (just a guess), reading between the lines ("Alot of people help, but it seems like alot more are ready to jump you for making a mistake.") PM'ed mtnman to point out his faux pas.
Since he only had 3 responces before his comment, maybe we can assume he had more PM's than that?

Is there a way this thread can be moved in it entirety to the U.S. Coin Forum?
