Updates to the Canadian Sets, Need your help identifing what to include
![XXX](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/40-11_ani.gif)
I have contacted PCGS several times to upgrade their canadian set as many haven't been updated since 2002. I could use your input as to what you beleive needs to be updated and hopefully we can then get our newer coins entered. Please feel free to add to this list and I will compile and send back to BJ @ PCGS. I will limit this till say friday then send a list back to them. I hope to have all coom's, 1c-$2 coins as well as special mint items ie: colored quaters etc. to send back to them. I appreciate your help. Thanks, Walt

Walt,
I have been at the mercy of our Canadian coin expert to supply us with
all the updates, but he has been slow in doing so. Would you be willing
to help by sending a list of the 2004 coinage?

When will you be updating the canadian coin series to reflect the new
issues
and bring them current to 2004 coins? Some of the newer coins we have
had
for years waiting to enter into sets. Please update the modern canadain
set.
(atlest to 2004 and atleast the common coins $1, $2, Commem's, 1-50c).

1c-$1 & $2 Mint Set (Year Sets) in Mint Sates From like: 1950-2004
2004 25c Poppy Quaters (MS)
2004 1c-$2 to 1c-$2 sets
This is just for starters I think if its complete enough, they will respond quickly. Don't forget anything that is also pre-2004 that needs to be added.
2003 loon MS & Proof
2004 loon MS & Proof
2004 Olympic Loon MS
2004 Olympic Loon (Silver) Proof
It is not that anything is being overlooked. Our Canadian expert is not
a PCGS employee and therefore, the set registry takes a backseat on his
priority list. I just have to keep nagging him. The year sets will
need to wait until later this new year when both of us have time to
address them. I am currently working on the launch of the new Colonial
Registry and then the U.S. Patterns, so my time is very limited at the
moment. But I do agree that the year sets would be a nice addition to
the Canadian Registry and we will definitely get them up in 2005.
Note that 2005 coins will not be part of the Registry until the end of
2005, so just send the 2004 coins and any 2003 coins we may have missed.
It will be a big help to me.
Thanks.

I appreciate your efforts. The only things I'd like them to add are the major varieties recognized by Charlton such as the Victoria obverse die varieties and cameo / deep cameo on prooflike strikes.

Neither of these are recognized when PCGS grades Canadian coins. I'm sure that getting them into Registries is going to be difficult.
In addition to including the 2003/2004 coins, there are a few errors/omissions that should be corrected. I've been intending to make a list of them for the Canadian nickles, but haven't had time. Perhaps those that concentrate on other series can look at them.

for inclusion into (the) my list. I firmly beleive our efforts will be used to help update the set as BJ has promised me. Thanks again for all of your help.
