I got a Marty Coin!!!

Today I went to a small currency museum in Australia. The place had all sorts of stuff from promotional items from banks to shredded currency to bags of coins, sets, and more. Most of the actual coins were Australian, being as that's where it's located, but there was some U.S. stuff breaking through the Darkness. Anyway, they had some coins for sale, which I looked over a bit before leaving. Lo and behold, down in the bottom of the cabinet was a Cook Islands Proof Dollar - 1972. It should go DCAM, after a quick dip in acetone, since the obverse was exposed. I got it for $9 Australian, about 6 or 7 U.S. in a nice purple holder. Just goes to show what you can find! On another note, I got a 1970-S Kennedy for $10 in Santa Barbara with a touch of cameo on the obverse. I can't post pictures at the moment, since my good camera is at home, but both are nice coins. image
