How picky will PSA be about this...

I am considering a purchase of a 1963 Bazooka hand-cut panel, which the seller describes in glowing terms, except for one thing: on the reverse, the original owner wrote neatly in ink "T63B". Being that the backs of these cards are BLANK anyway, is this something that PSA is likely to knock down a grade or two for? Should i attempt to eradicate these inked letters somehow?

  • If there's any writing on the card at all that isn't done by the player or by the company that made the card, I'm almost certain PSA automatically won't give a higher grade than 3.

  • A 3??? Good grief! I was wondering if they might do something like give it an "8 MK" (MK= marks, such as writing, pencil, etc.). I wonder if there's any kind of subtle way to remove inking--scraping with a razor for example?

Don't request "no qualifiers". You have a good chance of getting a grade like 8 (MK).
