FS: Terrific, original Mercury Dimes (Color!!!) from a collection purchased in 1982

Hi,

I found a man that had purchased an entire high-end Mercury Dime collection back in 1982. Some coins he has 2-4 of -- each -- I'm picking out the best to buy as $$ allows me to image

I've seen some of the most incredible Merc's in the last few weeks that I've seen in a long time! Some I kept for my set -- like a 1930-S with FB, which I sent in to PCGS last week -- it "might" just be a top Pop for that date.

There are 4 coins that I'm going to offer up here -- prior to sending in to PCGS for grading/slabbing. Because of the new pricing for grading come Jan 1 2005, I'm going to send them out Thursday, December 30. If you're interested, you need to get back to me by 11:00PM EST Wednesday (December 29) night.

These coins are amazing. I've tried taking pictures with my camera but for some reason I just can't get a good focused picture -- still learning image So, I've tried to do my best in scanning but scanners (unlike digital cameras) just kill all the color and luster of the coin. Also, the coins are in 2x2 flips so the little fuzzies and white speckles that you might see are on the flip. The greener/grayer type color you might see near/around the lettering on some of the coins is a beautiful turquoise-hue/colored toning. Overall the color, birlliance and luster of these little gems is terrific!!

I bought these coins right (in case the grading God's have their wrath...still come out OK!!) -- and will offer them back to the folks on this board, albeit for a small finders fee...killing 2 consecutive Sundays to cherry picke'm image

These are tough -- tough -- tough [original] coins to find. If you guys pass, then I'm sending them in for grading on Thursday AM -- to see how they fair...should be interesting. The PCGS folks love original coins -- I'm starting to learn their secrets image

I'll keep you posted on how they come back from grading should you folks pass on these...and if you pick up one (or more)...let us know if you submit them for grading and how they come back.

BTW -- either PM or e-mail me if you're interested.

Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Regards,

Mike.
