Unfortunately, diamond-cut 8 NQ's are all over the place. This card was most likely appropriately graded given PSA's standards on centering, but I wish PSA had long ago established more stringent guidelines for diamond cuts because they really detract from the eye appeal of a card. I think I'd rather have an 75-25 card than a card that slopes from 55-45 on one end to 45-55 on the other.
I'm surprised PSA doesn't have a qualifier for such cards: "DC" for Diamond Cut. It is very mis-leading to just grade it like any other "legitimate" 8.
I don't think that is so much diamond cut, as it is miscut. The bottom looks fine, the top is just plain cut wrong. The MC qualifier would be appropriate.
If I understand correctly, MC is used only on cards where the card is more than 100-0 off center (some part of the picture is missing). Another way to say the same thing would be the card shows part of the neighboring card on the sheet.
Edited to show that I don't know what I'm talking about. Here's PSA's definition of "MC":
Cards with a factory miscut, such as a diamond cut, or when another card's image is on the original card will be designated "MC."
I'll give the seller credit for showing a clear scan of the card - which is the only way that I will bid on a card. Too many times on this type of graded card the seller gives a scan which is not clear and is small, taken with a digital camera from ten feet away with the stipulation of "no refund on graded cards." Cards such as this are clearly a flaw in the PSA grading system.

Big diamond cut, seems odd it would pull an 8.
