Don't think I've seen that one before. I may do a quick bid on it. image

I like these and many other of the "rare" slabs just for what they represent . . . an interesting time in the development of "modern" coin certification. I have usually seen gold pieces in the IRI slabs and only occasionally have I seen dollars (I usually buy them if the price is reasonable). I am impressed that you found an IRI Morgan that was undergraded . . . nice work.

  • astro- i'm happier than a pig in ****, just the luck of picking this coin up in a mass lot at $9.00 each and then find out what I have - I would do it again. Of the slabbed coins that I have received from my wife as her experiment to get me nice b-day gifts- this slabb was the best, the others well let us say that a few of those new TPG's need to look at what they want to grade- have yet to see a ms69 morgan on the street- especially when compared to one of the 66's that I have. she did not see- but knows not to buy me a coin until i have seen it.

Again if anyone sees these let me know I will buy!!!

  • The wife bought a total of 12 at this price, with the S/H it came out to 9.84 a coin - all dollars - 11 morgans and 1 1926 Peace in a PCI holder ms63- and that one is a 63, the other 10 unfortunately were way overgraded so I played crackout and have em raw for the moment- will probably send them into Anacs for grading, along with as many raws that I get in the next 2 weeks.

will anyone please sell me a mixed roll of morgans in a 63 or better grade? They won't be going up for sale on sleazebay- they are for me to keep for a few + years.

yea astro that was a good score - love that lil woman of mine.
  • Ufortunately they don't show the othe side of the slab so we can't tell which variety of IRI slab it is. (There are three, the fourth one listed in the book has been delisted.)
