Former Rangers and Orioles manager Johnny Oates passed this morning from cancer.

    He's been fighting brain cancer for about 4-5 years if I remember correctly. Though it was in remission early last year. A good guy...he'll be missed.

    My thoughts are the same...my dad at 59...too young
    My prayers to the family and of course to all those who are out there at Christmas time...the best to all!

    I'm extremely grateful that my dad is still around.. he'll be 65 in February, and thankfully he's active, and in decent health.. we're better friends now than we've ever been..
