  • Just depends how many people need that card that can drive a price up at a certain time.
A month from now it might not get half that much.

Some of you 78 newbies are driving the prices up on some simple commons in recent weeks - and, another example, I saw a 79 Munson PSA 9 at $70 with a day left to go...people, calm down already! Or, at least wait until I list the big batch of 70's graded I have!

No problem, softparade - actually, I should be happy that there are some people out there aggressively bidding on this set. 1975-1980 has been my specialty, though lately I am going back a bit further, and I have some nice cards from that era going on Ebay in January.

You're right - I have noticed him on a few recent auctions...and always he was paying top dollar. Looks that way again, this PSA 9 common is now over $50. image

WOW, he must be Fred Stanley's cousin. In which case Stanley would just give him a PSA 9 image

seriously, this one is out of control. Pop says there are 19 of these bad boys running around somewhere in PSA 9. Not exactly low pop. But hey, people can spend their money any way they want.

I have TWO Fred Stanley 1978 PSA 9s, and I dont collect the set !!!!

I bought tons of 77 thru 81 Topps in the past, about a year or two after the release date of the particular issue. I collect 79 and 80 only, sold off the 77s raw way back, but have submitted plenty of the other years over the past 24 months or so.

I've traded many 78s for 79s and 80s but do have about 40 or so left ( one 10 ) including the two Stanleys.
    Anyone want one ??

I'm putting one on ebay later tonite, why not maybe I'll get lucky.
