I cut open two 1961 proof sets last night and found the most beautiful DCAM obv/rev Franklins.

The only problem is that the DCAM obverse is on one coin and the DCAM reverse is on the other. image The other side of the two coins are only cameo at best.

That dang mint wrapper sure fooled me!

Sounds like you need a REAL good machinist to make one good DCAM Franklin out of both of those coins.imageimage
  • Ah yes - the typical heartbreak of 60's proofsets imageimage

image If that would only work.....These coins are so clean, too.

Frank, a real heartbreaker for sure.

On a happier note, I did break a 1962 Washington out of one of the sets and it is DCAM. image I would have much rather had the Franklins be DCAM though.
  • I just opened a 63 set that had a DCAM reverse on the Frankie but a brilliant obverse image

Got a 2-sided DCAM dime in the same set, though image
