In the mail today: 1887 Seated Dime

Some might recall me asking "What's up all of those 1887 dimes on Heritage?", a few weeks ago. Well, I talked myself into bidding on one. The USPS brought her home today.....Nice strike, and just a hint of gold around the rims:

I also got notification that I have David Lawrence and Teletrade shipments waiting at the PO. It's been a good week. image

Added: Sorry for the "red X" status of my pics. Apparently, I'm overusing my free website bandwidth. New ISP isn't nearly as friendly as the last one, (but is DSL vs. dialup, so I'll learn to deal with it.) I guess I'll have to learn how to attach the pics!!!

Yes...Yes you did. I'm expecting a check from you for $310 to pay for your sins. image

(P.S. ....but I'm keeping the coin.) image

Hey, at least we were able to get the cheaper deals and not some of those more expensive versions of the same thing. I saw that one you got, too. In fact, I debated between yours and mine before I pulled the trigger. Yours has the little better strike and mine has the little better luster. Still, it's neat to have isn't it? You know, I looked around afterwards I didn't see anyone selling them for under $350 or so. Saw several at near $400. PCGS 64s.

Yep...There's still at least a dozen MS-64's on Heritage now, and the lowest "buy it now" is listed at $350.

But....I see a rather nice looking one for auction right now with a reserve of only $248 ($285.20 with BP). We may have a brief period of thinking "whoops" as they continue to liquidate them. image
