The pack ripper's pleasure

Last time I went to the card shop I ended up whining about it. This time it was pretty good. The shop just got in Bowman Heritage and the owner ripped half a box when I walked in. He pulled 2 Mahogany parallels from the same pack, and a Frank Thomas for me. I opened 4 packs and while nothing spectacular appeared, I can say they're nice looking cards, many with an authentic-looking Kodachrome feel. It is nice that they stayed true to the original in a few ways. The first 80 cards, it seems, are the light-grain wood. And there's a Giles brothers card, mirroring the Shantz brothers in the original. Also, completists like me will want an individual Bobby Shantz auto'd card since there was none in the original, like Musial last year. No Heritage Bonds this time, but they also just got in a box from Topps with the 2004 Topps Bonds cards in it. If you didn't hear, starting Monday, card shops will give you a 2004 Barry Bonds card if you buy a pack of 2005 Topps. There was 100 in the box, so they probably won't last. And the rule about waiting till Monday may not be enforced. It wasn't for me, but that's a secret.
And 2 Topps baseball factory sets sold in as many minutes. A Christmas tradition continues.
