Question about the Liberty Seated Collector's Club

This club puts out a publication called the "Gobrecht Journal". I heard that there is a hard cover book that contains a bunch of the old articles that appeared in the journal. Does anyone know the name of the book and/or the editor's name it's published under? thanks.

I have several of the hardback copies.

The Gobrecht Journal Collect Volume Number Four

    For example.

Editor: John W. McCloskey, President of LSCC

It appears to be privately published. You can find copies on the Internet.

  • There are 4 collective Volumes, with a fifth currently being printed.
The club still has some of these available.

All of the responses are correct. To date, there have been 4 collective Volumes. A fifth is being published. These are must haves for the serious collector of Seated Coinage. The published content is equal to or better than most info than usually available on many of the covered series.

In the March 2004 issue of The Gobrecht Journal, Club President John McCloskey advertised all four of the collective volumes for sale.

Volume I consists of the articles from 12/74 to 7/80, has 390 pages and cost $29
    Volume II - 11/80 to 7/85, 380 pages; $29
    Volume III - 11/85 to 7/90, 470 pages; $34
    Volume IV - 11/90 to 7/95, 580 pages; $44

    All prices include postage.

If you're interested, you might send him an e-mail to see what he still has.

    Ray,

Thanks. I have an interesting one in the next edition on TDN's Seated Dollar Collection.
