1862 or 1862/1 Three Cent Silver, need some help

SmittysSmittys Posts: 9,876 ✭✭✭✭✭
Does anyone know? I had someone tell me if the 2 has a spiked front it's the 62/1
If it has the flat bottom it's the 1862. Can anyone tell me for sure?
Thanks,
Smitty

That looks to be the regular 1862. I don't see a trace of a "1" inside the "2" or the often seen die crack through the "1" (first numeral) in the date.

    it is not an overdate

the key to look for is between the rim and the 1 going all the way up to the star... you will usually see a die crack
