Things only getting worse for the Eagles........

Not only is TO sidelined,
but their #2 receiver Todd Pinkston has a bum knee.

They now have to rely on Freddie (1 catch per game) Mitchell
as their main man.

Boy, the opposing defenses are going to be looking
at McNabb and Westbrook like T-Bone steaks.

Every other offensive "threat" besides them only requires single coverage.

It does not look good at all.

Yeah, you know things are getting bad when you hear that they are trying to get Harold Carmichael out of retirement. image

ZSZ - who are you a fan of? It seems like you live in the Philly area, but are one of the haters.

Pinkston has a bum knee? Big deal. He is a bum.

    1420,

I'm not a hater of the Eagles or any other team for that matter.
I call it like I see it. Sometimes things are good....and sometimes
things are bad. That's sports. The way I see it doesn't necessarily
mean that is right, it's just my opinion.

I don't get rapped up in rooting for any team.
My favorite "team" lives under my roof.
I'd much rather spend a day with that team, then
any other team. When I get some free time, I
try to catch a good game. I enjoy sports.

I also enjoy shooting the breeze with you guys.
I work with all women, so I really have no one to talk
to about sports. So thanks for letting me share my
thoughts with you. It's kind of fun.

    Oh yeah,

    I live in Columbus NJ.
I'm two minutes from the PA border.
I get all the Philly channels, so I get
to follow the team on the news when
I get a chance to watch.

    Heck, even the Philly announcers
make fun of Freddie making only 1 catch a game.
You see it on Comcast newscast with those
announcers poking fun at Freddie after the games.

    I couldn't care less if the Eagles windup 13 - 3.

Except for TO, we'll be ready for the playoffs and get to the Super Bowl. I'm hoping that TO will be back for the Super Bowl. Even if TO is only at 80 - 90% for the Super Bowl, he's still dangerous.

Eagles can win without T.O., and I don't even like to say that. Everyone else in NFC sucks, even Atlanta, now if Vick went down that team wouldn't win another game period. Now if the Eagles lost Mcnabb & Owens they would be done.
Culpepper to ?, only God knows at this point!

The only problem for the Eagles is McNad and Reid are NOT winners! Other than that they look
great! LOL. Everyone in the NFC may look weak but as we say this last week, thats why they play
the games!m Im sorry but if Philly can only beat Dallas by 5 they are not going to match up well
against the playoff teams. McNad can't do it all himself and now there are no other weapons, you
are going to have to win with your defense...can you do that? Its time for some guys with big
    wallets to step it up!

PS, Is there anyone here who would take McNad/Westbrook/Pinkston over Bulger/Faulk/Holt/Bruce??

    You are something special Joe.

NFC or AFC divisional games can be huge upsets. Ask any AFC West fan or NFC East fan. How bout the NFC Central? Those teams can beat on each other regardless of record. Just last night the Dolphins beat the best team in the NFL ...

There is no reason to assume the Eagles will not be in the title game. They have been there three years running, and this year will be four. They will figure out a way to win.

Reid not a winner? What coach has won more games in the past 5 years?

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?
