  • Run like the wind, else you may end up with a probosis in an orifice akin to the second-chance seller's Ebay ID.

  • That's just plain weird. Just for fun I'd e-mail him and ask what happened to all the bidders ahead of you. Or at the least, contact a couple of the other bidders and see if they really pulled out or got the same second chance offer.

  • DO NOT EVEN CLICK ON ANYTHING IN THE E-MAIL OR REPLY!!!
  • Are my eyes bad or does the date say 1916, not 1914, on the first coin offered?? I'd check all serial numbers to start with, then I bet you'll be talking to Ebay.

I'd contact james_peterson1956@msn.com just ASAP and find out where he wants you to send the money.

  • I get these all the time. People look for items with high bids, pretend to be the seller offering a second chance bid and try to get your money.

If you are interested in seeing if it was real, use "ask seller a question" and ask if he offered the second chance to you.

bigbrowneyed is james peterson? Seems to me if legitimate offer flog would identify himself as james peterson, the purported seller, from the outset.

flog appears to be legit. I'd contact directly.

Coin appears to be quite nice.
