1807s can be tough to grade, the weak details are sometimes mistaken for wear.

I think this one qualifies for VF20 but think PCGS gave it F-15.

I think the coin has more strike issues than it does wear issues. I would not be suprised to see that get a VF25 grade becauses the amount of detail lost due to wear (as opposed to strike) is minimal, and the coin otherwise has nice eye appeal. I wouldn't be offended by a VF20 grade. Would be offended with anything lower.

Well, hte rev. is sharper than the obverse, but I'll say fine/12. Probably too much detail for a vg on the obverse, but the reverse looks full fine, if not fine+. So, fine/12.

1807 O.110, S1 closest to curl is the key, reverse also used on 1806 O.117. VF20.

Tommy Type's is VF25, the O.116 obverse is failing, central detail is weak and the eagle's right wing is affected by this, in later states it is not struck up at all. Note the drapery lines are very sharp with little wear. The next usage of the obverse on O.117 is the weakest strike of all draped bust halves, the obverse has shattered, sunk, and has been lapped to the point where half the head doesn't show, one of the "half heads" in the series.
