VAM guys....1879 s/s Morgan ???

Is this a new one?? Just got a 1879s that is s over s or so it appears? Looks like a small s over a large s? Anyone else ever seen such a coin? The 1st S has a distinct top left seriff on the top left while the second S is covering it to the west or left. Thanks, Chris

There are several S/S VAM's for the '79-S. It's tough to tell what you may have from a verbal description, because the differences in some of the S/S VAM's for that date are subtle. There are at least the VAM 7, 7A, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19,30, 37, 45, 49, 53 & 54 all of which have S/S to some degree. Pretty tough to narrow it down without a close up of the mint mark.
