Hello,
I've come across a coin in the old "Green Label" PCGS holder. It is graded PR69 and I wanted to know if PCGS was using the CAM/DCAM designation back in those days. This one sure looks DCAM to me! :-) Thanks for any help! Cheers!

However, I have also seen coins in OGH's that were obviously cameo that were not designated. This has led me to the conclusion that when they started designating cameos, they didn't make a change in the holder at the same time.
Also remember that the coin must be cameo on both sides. If only a one-sided cameo, it will not get the designation from PCGS. I have seen many of these, even in the blue holders.

more information, as much as possible is always helpful, but you're forgiven that transgression since you're new. just don't let it become a habit!!!

-------------now that i see what it is, it's almost certain that's it's a DCAM. send it in for a designation review.
<< <i>you'd have to "date" the slab using condor's slab book generations. if the coin is clearly a CAM/DCAM and there is increased value with that designation, it's a simple matter of having it go through a Designation Review.

Al, this is not correct. For a CAM/DCAM review, you need to send it in for a re-grade and pay the full grading fee.
