Longtime Dealer Martin Rubenstein Killed in Auto Accident

Don't really have any other information. Died on LI where his shop was. Had a long time mail order business - was a dealer for abt. 50 years? He sold me my fist coin - a 1781 North American Token in Fine for $12 in 1979.

I pass his store every day on the way to work. Used to deal with Mel and Marsha a few years ago who run the store.
Mel was always hiding in the back rooms working deals or at shows.I think I spoke to him 3-4 times over the hundred or so visits to the shop. Thanks for the update so I can send my condolances.

Yes, they ran a nice shop when I used to visit. Mel and Marsha always very helpful - as was Marty. I think they wish to keep recent events low key but don't really know much of anything. It was a few weeks ago.
