After reading Bochiman's post I thought about buying a green box and see how many board members would be interested in pitching in to buy them. This way I can assure you that you will get unopened rolls. I would purchase them and then ship them out to whomever had reserved a roll or two. The price would be $180 a roll including Priority shipping and insurance. I was needing two rolls myself, so if I can come up with orders for 23 rolls I will handle shipping out the rolls.

I have been around the Boards a few years, I just do not post that much. I have done business with many board members and me Ebay ID is p-town-bgman.

A couple of members have asked about Paypal. I can accept Paypal, but the fee is about $6.

Added on Dec. 22:
Have been contacted by a few other members if rolls were available. Everything has gone along pretty well, so if you are interested, just let me know. Maybe we can order two boxes.

Need 7 more rolls reserved. Will give it a shot until Sunday.

Added on Jan. 1:
All but one roll has been reserved. I have the order confirmed and have sent everyone a PM that has reserved a roll.

I will be in and out on business so I didn't want to step up since I could not guarantee getting the rolls to people asap and didn't want to make people upset.

Out of a roll, what are the chances of recieving some high grade coins? Is buying a roll a good investment? I don't plan on selling all the coins...just enough to make the purchase price back. The reason for this is that I have a monthly allotment for starting my coin collection and don't know if I should buy a roll of eagles or others.

The odds are very great that all of the coins will grade MS68 and up. Some might be 69 or 70, luck of the draw. They are silver bullion coins, value goes up or down with the price of silver and the amount the mint produces. If you had bought a roll of 1996's you would be selling them for $25 each right now. I buy a roll or 2 every year. They are bullion, but very beautiful bullion coins IMHO.

By the way, I'll take a roll!!

To update everyone on the second box of Eagles.

I have received reservations for 12 of the 25 rolls, so I need reservations for 13 more rolls. The price of silver has gone up 23 cents per ounce since I ordered the first box. If I receive enough reservations for the second box, depending on the price of silver, the price may be a little higher than $180 per roll. If I ordered the box tonight, with silver at $7.03, the price would be $184.60.

I will wait a couple of more days, and hopefully sillver will drop back a little, before I reserve the second box. Take Care

I have reservations for 18 rolls, so I need 7 more reservations. I can order another box for the same price as the first box. If I order the box before Sunday, I can sell the rolls for $180 including Priority shipping. If I do not receive enough reservations by Sunday, I will not be ordering another box.

If I get all of the rolls reserved, I will order the coins at that time, and contact everyone.

I will let everyone know that I didn't get enough reservations, if it doesn't happen.
