Mint and proof sets

I am thinking of joining PCGS in order to send coins for them to grade w/o going to an authorised dealer since there are none around me. I looked at tha FAQ section and I want to know if PCGS will grade entire mint and proof sets that are sealed in their original packaging. These sets range from 1956 onward. Would it be better to break them up? I have heard of some grading services grading entire proof sets. Is this true? Thanks for the replies as always.

Sure, if you want to pay $90 to have a $10 proof set graded!!

Well' if that's the case I'll just hang on to 'em. Wouldn't be worth it unless there's a D-Cam. Maybe?

These proofs have been in a safe since 1962 and my uncle hasn't opened it in 18 years.
