No its not as pink as the pic but I am sure it's been cleaned and buffed a little. I was really trying to see if anyone could see the pic. I guess you can ,so I won't be using yahoo to host any more images.I put a 1872 double eagle on earlier and no one could see it.

based on the scan................... as sight seen could be different but i doubt it

extremely late die state and struck with a crumbling/deteriating die/misaligned dies in the coining press

seen at 12 noon on the edge of the obverse with the coorsponding reverse

then worn from circulation

then really cleaned/stripped with harsh chemicals

Looks like someone tried cleaning it with Brasso. What a shame.
