Finally got around to making a website dedicated to my coins! Please take a look at it and reply back with your critique and any advice you may have. There are only a handfull of photos of my coins up right now as I am slacking in the photo department lol. The site is fully functional though.

Same here... you need to check how the web site looks in all resolutions... it might be alright in 800x600, or in a higher resolution than that, but on mine, it overlaps, and with the text coloring being the same color as the Busts on the background, some of the links are hard to read...

Never solicit comments from guys who write a lot of underlying code for web sites. image But here are a few pointers:

I think you have a good start here. I'd recommend lowering the font sizes. Also, remember that designs generally can't be copyrighted as they are on the web. So if you see a general design concept you like elsewhere, copy it. But don't use their images, though. Or anything copyrighted that appears on it. Navigation would be nice. Like a breadcrumb trail so that you can go back up or down the site with ease. And a switching menu to go between sections.

Also, gray on black isn't the best color scheme. Black as a background is OK but use a shade of yellow to contrast better with the black. And using a font designed for the web will help. Like Verdana or Trebuchet. It enhances readability. Your links are also broken up a bit on the home page. I'd suggest restructuring it a bit. Since you're using a design tool that generates HTML you are at the whim of the designer. You may want to go back through what the designer generates and optimize it. You can get a program called html tidy that can do some of the basics of fixing for free.

You're using absolute positioned divs. That rarely works well. I suggest using tables to control the layout and not divs. It's more browser friendly and works across more browsers. Especially those browsers for people who have physical impediments.

Probably more than you wanted but I hope it was helpful.
