New Circulating "Colorized" Canadian 25cent "poppy" commemorative pieces

Anyone else see the article re: the new "colorized" circulating Canadian 25cent pieces for '04 to commemmorate veterans? Red "poppy" design is supposed to last several years!

Anyone know when they are coming out in general circulation?

Any Canadian members out there able to trade some to me when they do ?

I've gotten one that appears to be AU-U with half of the red already faded/gone. Still a nice coin!

I have an unopened case (2000 coins) I will be going thru. Once it is opened, I will be happy to card some and present them for sale to any board members who might be interested in them. Hopefully (as they should be) , they will have all color intact and minimal marks. Hit me up again in January once I have had time to open, and remind me of you interest.

I have a daughter in Montreal, and she sent me a 2 rolls of them. If anyone wants a coin or two PM me, and we will work out some sort of trade.

They are kind of neat.

Though technically a "circulating" coin, I'm willing to bet that 75%+ of the original rolls have been snapped up by collectors and the general public alike, with those opened and spent probably having a lifetime of less than a month before being spotted and saved
