NCG 1938-D 50c MS64 ebay purchase.. good deal?

Hard to tell from the small photos, the reverse image makes me think this could be a very lusterous coin and an easy MS64. The obverse looks lightly toned, but I think it is a shadow from the holder's insert. In his ebay discription he said it was completely white. I paid about $30.00 over bid. Opinions please. image

I guess the deal depends on what bid is currently at. I reviewed past prices realized on Teletrade for a MS64 grade and they are as follows:

    May 18, 2003 1938D PCGS 64 $500
Light gold toning with yellow rims, above average strike & luster, no serious marks.

    Dec 31, 2003 1938D PCGS 64 $475
Nearly full mint luster, accented with a mere hint of soft gold. Fairly well struck. Moderate scuffing in the right obverse field. Minimal surface marks elsewhere.

According to those figures I should have bought this coin in 2003. Bid is $585.00.

The coin looks good from what I can tell with it being in an NGC holder, that being a plus. As far as price goes, I haven't a clue. Let us know how it looks when you get it. image
