This guy ripped off a member across the streetLink
And he's at it again, look at all these "DMPL" Morgans:Link
and my favorite:AT Morgan
Looks like crayons!
Unfortunately there are bids on some of them,as if these were really MS-65 DMPL morgans, they'd average at $1,000 a pop.
And look he's also got proof Indian head cents!here's one

  • Thanx for the heads up !

Does'nt this idiot have a "rotate"option in his photo shop?He sure seems to have a "blur" feature.

I'm intereseted to see what smoe other members think of this guys pics.

perhaps he rotates and blurs them on purpose!
  • I bought a coin from this fellow this week. The coin was very attractive excepting the rather large scratch on Liberty's cheek. I discounted his contention that it was MS 65 so don't feel too bad. I complained and he offered me a refund, I decided to keep the coin.

I bought one coin from him slabbled, his pic was aweful, coin was great and I got it at a wonderful price due to poor camera skills. What peeved me was he overcharged for shipping and the insurance which I paid I never got. After that he went to the ban list.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I would probably bid on one of his auctions only with somebody else's money- but as far as that morgan you think might be AT... it looks to me like it actually might be some attractive golden toning, but the dude has amped up the contrast on the photo so it looks unrealistic...

That coin is cooked. Everything this guy sells is doctored. He's been brought up here many times.

If anyone would bother to look, you will see he bids on and buys mostly 3rd rated low price slabs on eBay. He then cracks them and by a miracle they become MS65 DMPLs and listed on eBay.

  • I just picked up one of his 78-s this past weekend- I called him 3 days ago when I did the paypal and asked him if the coin was dipped or cleaned. He said it was legit- I was polite enough to inform him that IF that coin is cleaned to make it look as if it were a 65 dmpl- I would have no problem turning his a$$ into the FEDS- I really hate a crook, I hate liars even more- if he is dirty I will nail him to a cross....

Take a look at these 16 raw Morgans he's bidding on. If he's the high bidder be assured they will reappear all clean and polished up. 16 Raw Morgans

  • If you look closely- the buyer IS the seller! the person is Gary Patch- seems he is shilling his own stuff! Well I can straighten this out fast - looks like paypal and I will have to feast on his account right away.

Thanks for the heads up. I see his stuff all the time and avoid it because it doesn't look right but having confirmation is always good.

This is a valuable service the board provides.

    Go get 'em!
I think that one of the problems with this whole ordeal was that people would buy coins from him,and being problem coins they would try to get a refund.Which this Gary guy, speedily sent.So Gary ends up getting positive feedback, and has an almost spotless record.I think that if people purchase a coin on eBay that misrepresented, etc. they should leave neutral feedback explaining that the coin was misrepresented but that the seller did refund the money.
Oh well, just my two cents...
  • here is an update on ol Gary- he states that none of his coins have been dipped or cleaned in any solution. This was sent via email this a.m., well 5 minutes after his email to me I called him at home- surprise! I explained that I don't buy junk, nor will I ever sell it. also advised that IF this coin is dipped I have a great scope to see what he has done- and he will pay not only to have it shipped back but I will get a full refund out of him- HE AGREED, and then told me to send it to whoever I want to have graded- if they bb it then he will refund everything back- told him that I would do this on a 1 day turnaround which will cost over 100- he hesitated which led me to think he is a BS'r for sure. I hit paypal with the charge today- without seeing the coin- it's going back no matter what.
