Well kinda...Picked up two bank rolls of Iowa Quarters. All four of the end coins are in amazing condition, with barley any hits. I was pretty shocked they had some new rolls lying around.

Cool. You might want to take a look at them and see if it's worth going back
for more rolls. It can be surprising how many scarce and rare coins you can
find if you watch for them. It seems every couple years something good is re-
    leased around here.

  • Every new release of the state quarters and now the nickels I go back to a smaller local bank because I know they "buy" a box of each release for their cutomers.

I don't have an account but I'm a regular enough to be recognized.

    Anyway,
The quality of the state quarter rolls I have gotten have varied greatly. Both the recent Iowa and by the looks of the end coins, the Wisconsin ones have been a big step up in quality.
Some call it an accumulation not a collection
  • the head bank teller jenn (which is kinda cute) always seems to save the best stuff for rite aid. she has a pile with rite aid on it for $1s and such and some penny rolls and when i go in on my mornigns at rite aid she dips into the pile and i find some rolls to swap out . but its been sooo long since i have seen anything from a bank worth taking. i love looking at the notes for distruction. just cause they say they are going to distoried dont let that fool you you can still get some nice stuff.

i think 2 yrs ago at a fleet bank my branch manager had 35$ in singles he said were going back to be distroyed and i wouldnt be interested in . so like a pest i said oh can i see. alot of beat up 20s and 10s and 5s but when i got to the 1s all 35 were silver certs. ok most were well worn and a few had minor rips but there was 4 or 5 that were near CU but gonna get taken out cause they were from 1935 and in the pack with all the others. long story short i took them all. he wanted an all or nothing deal on the singles. cause he didnt want to open the stack . its all good i took all 35 and they are happy here and taken off death row.
