Reasonably priced and available 17** dated colonials?

I moved earlier this year, and none of my coin books made the trip. Could someone give me some guidance as to which colonials are most available and affordable in the low to mid circulated grades? What should I look for/avoid? Are there any online dealers or board members that would likely have what I'm looking for?

Early copper isn't really my thing, but it would make a nice gift for someone on my Christmas list.

Woods Hibernia coppers are very cheap in circulated grades, and better yet, they circulated well within the colonial period. A lot of
Connecticut and New Jersey coppers are still reasonable -- though prices are rising. All these can be had for $25-$50 if you look.

Excellent, I'm mostly in this one for the "coolness" factor.

Any recommended sources?

jack beymer in santa rosa, ca sells a large number of colonials. also, jeff keirstead of kierstead coins (i think) in new hampshire has a good selection of colonials. at least he did in the late 90's, haven't checked lately. beymer advertises in all the major coin magazines, but i don't think kierstead does.

I'm not sure what you consider 'reasonably priced', but Tom Reynolds is a fantastic dealer with a nice inventory of high quality, moderate priced colonials which are good value in my opinion.

I'd recommend him very highly.

In general, by "affordable" I simply meant the lower end of the price/rarity spectrum. Specifically, this friend is worth a hundred bucks or less.

I remembered several people recommending Tom Reynolds and checked his site, but for this purchase the top end of my budget and the bottom end of his inventory don't quite meet. Thanks for the link, though.
