I like allegorical subjects like Liberty, eagles, shields, stars, etc.
No real attraction to dead presidents and sentimental mishmash contrived as soon as one dies.

The Dolley Madison commem. She got teh b00bies .
I've come to the realization that I don't really care what's on the coins, as long as it changes from time to time. The fact that Lincoln's been on the cent for nearly a hundred years now is absolutely abhorrent to me. Supposedly the Mint can change designs every 25 years without anyone's permission, but as we've seen you get people like the Virginians stepping up and usurping coins. We need another coinage champion, like T.R., but I doubt I'll see that in my lifetime...
Perhaps we can find someone who will also address issues of production concerns vs. design. They've lowered the relief on our coins to extend die-life, but the coins look atrocious.

General Custer....LOOK! Sioux warriors! Oh wait....sorry....this is composite country.
For the minor coins, I like Liberty on the front and a wreath on the back.
edit: it's ok with me if Liberty is dressed up like a Native American.
